SubjectMaya’s week: setting up systems of equations
Hi Dana,
Maya had a strong week. She solved 9 of 11 algebra questions on her own, including two types she hadn’t seen before.
She’s still working on turning word problems into equations, so that’s our focus on Tuesday.
Her next practice test is Saturday, October 24.

Accessibility
Every student practices the way they’ll test. Set a student’s accommodations once, and Scholane applies them everywhere, from Tuesday’s homework to a full practice test.
- Extended time that follows the student
Time and a half, double time, or a custom amount. Set it once and every timed assignment and practice test adjusts.
- Breaks that match their approval
Extra or longer breaks, pauses between modules, and untimed practice when the goal is learning rather than pacing.
- Practice the way they’ll test
Mirror each student’s approved College Board accommodations, so test day feels familiar.
- Works with assistive technology
Screen readers, full keyboard control, visible focus, and zoom up to 200% without losing anything.
- Easier reading
Adjustable text size and spacing, a dyslexia-friendly font, high contrast, and a line reader.
- No tutor misses the plan
Accommodations show up in every session brief, so a substitute tutor knows before the session starts.
Run the whole company from the same record
Turn on scheduling and invoicing when you’re ready, or keep the tools you already use. Attendance from a session becomes a line on the next invoice without anyone typing it twice.
Using your own calendarSessions still get notes, attendance, and billing in Scholane.

AI that shows its work
Useful when you want it, out of the way when you don’t. Every part of Scholane works without AI, too.
- Every answer shows its sources
Claims link to the sessions, responses, and notes behind them. When the record is missing something, it says so.
- It drafts, you decide
Lesson plans, assignments, and parent updates wait for a tutor’s approval, and every draft and edit is logged. Nothing goes to a family on its own.
- Taught your way
Point it at your company’s approved playbooks and it follows your methods, not generic advice.
- Private by default
Student records are used only to run Scholane for your company. They are never used to train AI models.
- Use it from the AI you already have
Connect Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP client, with the same permissions each person has in Scholane.

Questions tutoring companies ask
Is Scholane only for the SAT?
For now, yes. Both SAT sections are fully supported, and ACT is next on the roadmap.
Do we have to switch our scheduling or billing?
No. Use the learning tools on their own and keep your current calendar and invoicing, or turn on Scholane’s versions whenever you’re ready.
Does the AI write questions on the spot?
No. Assignments use questions from a reviewed, published bank. The assistant helps you choose and organize them, and you approve every assignment.
Can students practice on their phones?
Yes. Students get a full test-style view on laptops and tablets, plus quick practice on phones for short sets.
Who can see student information?
Access follows roles. Tutors see their own students, parents see their own children, and payers can see invoices without seeing lesson notes. Every change and AI draft is logged.
Is student data used to train AI models?
No. Student records are used only to run Scholane for your company, and they are never used to train AI models.
Can Scholane handle testing accommodations?
Yes. Set extended time, extra breaks, and reading supports once per student, and every assignment and practice test follows them.
How do we get started?
Join the early access list. We’ll set up a small pilot with your team and help import your students.
